My name is Cole Moriarty. I've been interested in the visual arts since I was a kid. Throughout middle school and high school I liked photography, but I loved film. It wasn't until about a year ago I realized how passionate I was about photography. I have dropped photography multiple times in the past. The two leading causes of this were first, I didn't feel like an adequate photographer. Utah County is highly saturated amazing photographers (primarily portrait photographers). The second reason was because I started editing photos to fit current trends and to get more likes. I realized how much of my passion was affected by who I was taking photos for.
As soon as I found what type of photography fueled my passion, that is when I knew I had a future in it. The photographs I take will always be in the moment. I don't like to create a scene, or have people model, or anything. I like to take photos solely in the moment capturing the natural beauty, whether of Earth, or the people inhabiting it.
It has been quite the journey so far, and I'm very grateful for all of the support. Thank you all!
